aboutus

Georgetown Islamic Center (GIC) was established in 2018 to establish a prayer space and community center for the growing Muslim population in Georgetown, Hutto, and North Round Rock. GIC recently purchased a 6.5 acre property with 2 buildings for $2.4 million. It is currently being utilized as a masjid and will soon host an Islamic Seminary.

Vision

Create an Institution that will serve the Georgetown/Hutto/N Round Rock communities with a Masjid and an Islamic Education Center

Ask

We need to raise an additional $200k to cover the costs of renovating the current buildings to start Seminary classes

Plan

Start using the two existing structures on the property to begin daily prayers, Jummah, and Darul Uloom Austin Hifz/Alim school

Mission

Seek the pleasure of Allah by spreading the teachings of Islam in the light of Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)

Masjid At-Taqwa
